Historique
Vicairie perpétuelle de l'abbaye bénédictine de Nanteuil, dépendant de l'ancien diocèse de Poitiers, l'église fut reconstruite au 13e siècle. Après les guerres de Cent ans, elle a été remaniée au 15e siècle (souche du clocher, chapelle sud, deuxième et troisième travées de la nef, voûtes de la nef...). En 1868-1869, les bas-côtés ont été remontés. L'édifice est de plan rectangulaire à chevet plat. Une chapelle a été accolée, au nord, à la souche du clocher carré. Au sud se trouve une chapelle jouxtant la sacristie. Le portail est en cintre brisé à quatre voussures, décorées de boudins toriques et de cavets garnis de crosses retombant sur de fines colonnettes aux chapiteaux ornés de feuillages et de palmettes. L'intérieur est divisé en quatre travées voûtées sur croisées d'ogives à quatre quartiers. La dernière abrite le choeur.

History
Perpetual vicarage of the Benedictine abbey of Nanteuil, depending on the former diocese of Poitiers, the church was rebuilt in the 13th century. After the Hundred Years War, it was remodelled in the 15th century (base of the bell tower, south chapel, second and third bays of the nave, vaults of the nave...). In 1868-1869, the aisles were rebuilt. The building is of rectangular plan with a flat chevet. A chapel was added, to the north, to the base of the square bell tower. To the south is a chapel adjoining the sacristy. The portal is in broken-pointed arch with four mouldings, decorated with toric bowtels and cavetto mouldings set with crockets falling on slender colonnettes with capitals decorated with foliage and palmettes. The interior is divided into four bays vaulted on rib vaults with four compartments. The last one houses the choir.
