Ce petit édifice rural était à l'origine un prieuré dépendant de l'abbaye de Notre-Dame de Nanteuil-en-Vallée. Il est cité en 1469 dans un état des charges et revenus de l'abbaye. Cette chapelle offre un plan rectangulaire hérissé de contreforts. Le choeur à chevet plat est plus bas que la nef. Un campanile ajouré d'une baie géminée somme l'élévation ouest. Le portail présente deux rouleaux à arêtes vives en tiers-point. Une frise sculptée de personnages acrobates décore l'imposte ainsi que la base des ébrasements. De petits éléments de sculpture se retrouvent sur la façade ainsi que dans la chapelle, sur les piles rectangulaires. Nef et choeur sont voûtés d'un cintre brisé. L'ensemble est orné d'un décor ocre rouge peint au pochoir : faux joints, bandeaux d'entrelacs, fleurettes, fleurs de lys. Le décor du choeur est légèrement différent. Il évoque l'art du 15e siècle et a pu être refait à l'identique au 17e siècle dans la nef (date de 1611).

History
This small rural building was originally a priory dependent on the abbey of Notre-Dame de Nanteuil-en-Vallée. It is mentioned in 1469 in a statement of the charges and revenues of the abbey. This chapel offers a rectangular plan bristling with buttresses. The chevet with flat chevet is lower than the nave. An openwork campanile with a twinned opening crowns the west elevation. The portal presents two voussoirs with sharp edges in pointed arch. A frieze sculpted with acrobatic figures decorates the impost as well as the base of the splays. Small sculptural elements are found on the façade as well as in the chapel, on the rectangular piers. Nave and chevet are vaulted with a broken round arch. The whole is decorated with red ochre decoration painted with stencil: false joints, interlace bands, small flowers, fleur-de-lis. The decoration of the chevet is slightly different. It evokes the art of the 15th century and may have been remade identically in the 17th century in the nave (dated 1611).
