Au Moyen Age, cette porte donnait accès à la ville haute. Construite sur un terrain naturellement escarpé, cette porte de ville forme une tour carrée ou rectangulaire qui avait une très faible saillie sur le rempart voisin. A l'extérieur et à l'intérieur, les arcs de la porte ont leurs arcs brisés et à double rouleau. La voûte du porche part au-dessus d'une moulure en 1/4 de rond. Il n'y a pas de trace de pont mobile. Du côté de l'entrée, le passage de la herse est bien conservé. Le sommet a été modifié. Du côté de la ville, au-dessus du cintre, se trouve une fenêtre avec son appui du 15e siècle.

History
In the Middle Ages, this gate provided access to the upper town. Built on naturally steep terrain, this town gate forms a square or rectangular tower which had very slight projection on the neighbouring rampart. On the outside and inside, the arches of the gate have pointed arches and double roll-moulding. The vault of the porch rises above a quarter-round moulding. There is no trace of a drawbridge. On the entrance side, the passage for the portcullis is well preserved. The top has been modified. On the town side, above the arch, is a window with its sill of the 15th century.
