History
In the Middle Ages, the bridge gave access to the old quarter, to the rue du Soleil and to the château of Confolens. The structure consists of two round arch arches, connected by a central pier fitted with a triangular cutwaters upstream and a rectangular projection downstream. The central pier carries a triangular refuge.
