Un des rares vestiges des fortifications de Cognac. Porte à arc légèrement brisé, flanquée de deux tours surmontées d'une ligne de mâchicoulis se prolongeant sur la porte elle-même. Les corbeaux formés de trois assises sont reliés par des arcs avec décor en accolade et coquille.

History
One of the rare vestiges of the fortifications of Cognac. Gateway with a slightly pointed arch, flanked by two towers crowned with a line of machicolations extending over the gateway itself. The corbels formed of three courses are linked by arches with moulding in ogee and shell decoration.
