Historique
Situé à l'extrémité nord-ouest du cimetière, l'ossuaire est un édifice de plan centré, actuellement totalement enterré. Il a dû autrefois n'être que semi-enterré puisqu'un oculus bouché se trouve dans la voûte en coupole qui le couvre. Cette voûte est en appareil calcaire, taillé dans le style de l'église romane proche. Elle retombe sur un bandeau mouluré. Au-dessous, au niveau du sol, les murs sont percés de quatre niches en demi-cercle. Le sol est constitué par le rocher. Cet édifice a dû servir d'ossuaire dès la fin du Moyen Age, sans pouvoir assurer qu'il s'agissait de sa fonction d'origine. Le lieu recèlerait des vestiges gallo-romains.

History
Located at the north-west end of the cemetery, the ossuary is a building of central plan, currently entirely underground. It must once have been only semi-underground since a blocked oculus is found in the dome vault that covers it. This vault is in limestone ashlar, cut in the style of the nearby Romanesque church. It springs from a moulded band. Below, at ground level, the walls are pierced by four half-circle niches. The floor consists of bedrock. This building must have served as an ossuary from the end of the Middle Ages, without being able to assure that this was its original function. The place is said to contain Gallo-Roman remains.
