La porte est le seul reste subsistant d'une maison qui fut vendue en 1755 à François Fauchier par Charlotte de La Rochefoucault et François de Chevreuse, son époux. Elle doit remonter au 17e siècle. Elle se compose d'une baie en plein cintre retombant sur des piédroits ornés d'une moulure pour recevoir les sommiers de l'arc. De chaque côté de la baie, un pilastre porte un entablement dont la frise est bombée. La clef de l'arc, en saillie sur le nu des claveaux, a occasionné un décrochement de l'entablement. La corniche est couronnée par un fronton brisé pour laisser passer un écusson dont les armoiries ont été bûchées.

History
The door is the only remaining fragment of a house which was sold in 1755 to François Fauchier by Charlotte de La Rochefoucault and François de Chevreuse, her husband. It must date back to the 17th century. It consists of a round-arched opening resting on piers ornamented with moulding to receive the voussoirs of the arch. On each side of the opening, a pilaster carries an entablature whose frieze is bombé. The keystone of the arch, projecting from the face of the voussoirs, has caused an offset of the entablature. The cornice is crowned by a broken pediment to allow the passage of an escutcheon whose arms have been erased.
