L'ancien cimetière occupait l'emplacement compris entre l'église à l'est, les remparts au sud et, à l'ouest et au nord, diverses constructions reliées par un mur de clôture. Le périmètre ainsi délimité conserve des enfeux qui étaient surmontés de blasons ou d'ornements armoriés. A Villefranche, il n'en exite qu'un seul exemple, celui de la maison Lautié. A la base, un arc brisé est mouluré d'un boudin dont l'avant-bec méplat est orienté suivant le bissecteur. Ce tore est dégagé par des filets. Dans le même mur, un peu plus haut, une niche abrite une statue, un personnage vêtu d'un ample vêtement plissé. Il est debout sur une dalle portant une inscription gothique sur deux lignes. Au fond de la niche se distinguent deux écussons.

History
The old cemetery occupied the space comprised between the church to the east, the ramparts to the south and, to the west and north, various buildings connected by a boundary wall. The perimeter thus defined preserves wall-tombs which were surmounted by coats of arms or heraldic ornaments. At Villefranche, only one example exists, that of the Lautié house. At the base, a pointed arch is moulded with a torus whose flattened tip is oriented along the bisector. This torus is set off by fillets. In the same wall, a little higher, a niche houses a statue, a figure dressed in a voluminous pleated garment. He stands on a slab bearing a Gothic inscription on two lines. At the back of the niche two escutcheons are distinguished.
