Historique

History
Romanesque church with two naves, built in rolled pebbles. The apse is decorated with so-called Lombard bands and arcading bearing a cornice. A bell tower, the lower part of which is Romanesque, flanks it to the south. The nave is fairly remodelled and revaulted but to the south extends, along its entire length, a second rather narrow nave, vaulted with an ogive barrel vault and in which access is via a portal. This portal, as well as the opening which accompanies it on the right side, is built entirely of white marble and carefully dressed. The archivolt is decorated with a sawtooth pattern and rests on two sculptured corbels. The tympanum is decorated with a bas-relief representing the Divine Lamb in a limb borne by two winged angels. This motif is framed by a border of reversed leaves. The doors have retained the hinges from the 12th century in flat and fluted iron, as well as their bolt and their knocker. Traces of a black lyre are still visible on the south façade, above the portal. A machicolation of slightly later date defends the entrance of the latter.
