Construction mentioned in 974 in a confirmation by Pope Benedict VI of the privileges and possessions of the abbey of Saint-Pere de Rodes. The pre-Romanesque building presents walls in unequal rubble stone of granite with dressed angle courses set in headers and stretchers. The rectangular chevet is covered with a roof in two slopes. It was flanked to the north by a sacristy. The walls of the nave are higher than those of the chevet, and are completely blind. The original door opened to the south. Above the west gable wall rise the three supports of a bell tower with two arcades (now disappeared), constructed seemingly in the 17th century, in replacement of the primitive bell tower which stood on the east gable wall of the nave, above the chevet. The nave is separated from the choir by a depressed diaphragm triumphal arch. The trapezoidal choir and slightly raised, is covered with a barrel vault in an outrepassé form. Only this vault, very archaic, is original. The vault of the nave, more elaborate, seems to correspond to an arrangement of the 11th century in replacement of the primitive roof structure.
