Ensemble cultuel lié au pélerinage de la Vierge. Une inscription latine située dans la nef indique que l'église aurait été consacrée en 934. Cependant, les parties les plus anciennes (choeur et nef) ne semblent pas remonter au delà du 12e siècle. La nef est voûtée en berceau d'ogive. Elle est flanquée de deux chapelles latérales et d'un clocher du 18e siècle. Le choeur, séparé de la nef par une grille forgée et dorée à la mode espagnole, est voûté en plein cintre. Il se termine par une chapelle annexe édifiée en 1730 à l'emplacement de l'abside romane. Cette chapelle comporte une disposition particulière : le sol en est élevé de quelques mètres au-dessus de celui du choeur et l'accès se fait par deux escaliers latéraux. Cette disposition est spécifique aux églises catalanes contenant une Vierge vénérée et porte le nom de "camarill". La particularité du camarill d'Err consiste dans la coupole à pans qui le recouvre et le lanterneau hexagonal qui surmonte cette dernière en lui donnant la lumière.

History
Religious complex linked to the pilgrimage of the Virgin. A Latin inscription situated in the nave indicates that the church would have been consecrated in 934. However, the oldest parts (choir and nave) do not appear to date back beyond the 12th century. The nave is vaulted with a rib vault. It is flanked by two lateral chapels and a bell tower from the 18th century. The choir, separated from the nave by a wrought and gilded screen in the Spanish fashion, is vaulted with a round arch. It terminates with an annexe chapel built in 1730 on the site of the Romanesque apse. This chapel has a particular disposition: its floor is raised several metres above that of the choir and access is by two lateral staircases. This disposition is specific to Catalan churches containing a venerated Virgin and is called a "camarill". The particularity of the camarill of Err consists in the coffered dome that covers it and the hexagonal lantern that surmounts the latter, giving it light.
