Historique
L'église, de fondation romane, se compose aujourd'hui d'une vaste nef voûtée d'ogives avec chapelles latérales entre contreforts. La nef primitive du 12e siècle devait être recouverte d'une charpente. Un grand pignon percé d'une seule fenêtre la ferme à l'ouest. L'ancienne abside a disparu et fait place à l'accès actuel. Les voûtes en pierre qui la recouvrent datent de la fin du 14e siècle. Les murs goutterots ont été percés d'arcatures pour donner accès à des chapelles latérales probablement au 18e siècle (date de 1768 sur l'une des archivoltes). History
The church, of Romanesque foundation, comprises today a vast nave vaulted with ribs with lateral chapels between buttresses. The primitive 12th-century nave must have been covered with timber framing. A large gable pierced with a single window closes it to the west. The old apse has disappeared and has given way to the present access. The stone vaults covering it date from the late 14th century. The side walls have been pierced with arcatures to give access to lateral chapels probably in the 18th century (date of 1768 on one of the archivolt mouldings). The first chapel on the south side, along the bell tower, appears to be original. The bell tower dates from the 12th century except for the upper part. It comprises two storeys vaulted with rib vault, with arcatures and external bands in the Lombard fashion. The upper storey, pierced with paired openings, is crenellated.
