La ville a conservé une partie importante de ses fortifications dont certaines parties remontent à la fin du 13e siècle. Dans l'ensemble, les ouvrages conservés ne sont pas antérieurs au 14e siècle et ont certainement subi des réfections à cette époque. Un couvent d'Ursulines fut fondé en 1618. En 1642, les religieuses firent construire leur couvent contre les remparts adjacents à la tour et à la poterne de Talher. La tour circulaire formant saillant est ouverte d'archères droites. Le chemin de ronde court le long du mur d'enceinte, en traversant l'immeuble des Ursulines. Ce dernier a subi une importante restauration.

History
The town has preserved an important part of its fortifications, some parts of which go back to the end of the 13th century. On the whole, the preserved works are not earlier than the 14th century and certainly underwent repairs at that time. A convent of Ursulines was founded in 1618. In 1642, the nuns had their convent built against the ramparts adjoining the tower and the postern of Talher. The circular tower forming a projection is opened with straight arrow slits. The wall walk runs along the enclosure wall, passing through the Ursulines building. The latter underwent extensive restoration.
