Exemple caractéristique d'exploitation à cour fermée de la région du mont Lozère, où le logis est flanqué d'une ou plusieurs granges étables et, parfois, de petits bâtiments annexes comme un four et une porcherie. L'ensemble est ici composé d'une maison d'habitation qui comprenait à l'origine, au rez-de-chaussée, une grande pièce commune avec cheminée et lit clos, une cuisine et une souillarde et, aux étages, des chambres. Une grande grange étable ferme la cour à l'est. Bâtie sur la pente, son second niveau ouvre sur l'ancienne aire à battre. A l'ouest se trouve une grange étable plus réduite. Dans l'angle sud-ouest de la cour, un petit bâtiment abrite une porcherie et un four, relié à la grange ouest par deux portails couverts à la ferme. History
Characteristic example of a closed-courtyard holding in the Mont Lozère region, where the main dwelling is flanked by one or more barn-stables and, sometimes, by small outbuildings such as an oven and a pigsty. The ensemble here is composed of a dwelling house which originally included, on the ground floor, a large communal room with fireplace and box bed, a kitchen and a scullery and, on the upper floors, bedrooms. A large barn-stable closes the courtyard to the east. Built on the slope, its second level opens onto the former threshing floor. To the west is a smaller barn-stable. In the south-west corner of the courtyard, a small building houses a pigsty and an oven, linked to the west barn by two covered gateways at the farmhouse. A family cemetery extends the west barn, enclosed by a low wall topped with a grille.
