L'ancienne abbaye a conservé des éléments romans (ancien cellier et ancien scriptorium) et gothiques (bâtiment des convers du 13e siècle). Du 15e siècle, date l'ancien réfectoire des moines, "rhabillé" au 19e siècle. Des adjonctions et rénovations ont lieu aux 17e (escalier d'honneur fin 17e) et 18e siècles (jardin à la française avec nymphée).

History
Abbey of Valmagne founded in 1138 and attached to Cîteaux from 1145. The former abbey has preserved Romanesque elements (former cellar and former scriptorium) and Gothic elements (building of the converse brothers from the 13th century). From the 15th century dates the former refectory of the monks, "restored" in the 19th century. Additions and renovations took place in the 17th centuries (grand staircase late 17th) and 18th centuries (French garden with nymphaeum).
