The village of circular structure is of medieval origin, built on a rocky cone with at its summit a feudal castrum around which the dwellings are buttressed. At the end of the 10th century, the population had to take refuge on the castrum. The castral chapel becomes parochial. In the 14th century, an enclosure of ramparts equipped with two doors still existing closes the whole of the built-up area. The castellans of Saint-Pons gave certain of their vassals permission to build within the rampart enclosure. The family of Astanières owned it in the years 1500. In 1580, Pierre d'Astanières was viguier of the village, an office exercised by members of the family until the Revolution. The d'Astanières having emigrated to the Kingdom of Naples, during the Terror, the house received the name of House of the Emigrants. It was sold as national property and divided among different owners which is perceptible on the cadastral plan of 1830. In the middle of the 20th century, in a state of ruin, it was abandoned, regrouped in the years 1960 by a single owner. A new buyer relaunched the campaign of works from 2008.

The façade on the street as well as the doors are of sober classical arrangement. On the noble floor, the great drawing room looks onto the street, with on the western wall a large fireplace in plaster-work of the 17th century.
