Historique
L'église est mentionnée deux fois dans le cartulaire de Maguelone en 1161 puis plusieurs fois par la suite. Le lieu était fortifié en 1218. L'église du 12e siècle subsiste dans son ensemble mais elle a subi, à des époques différentes, des réparations importantes. L'édifice est à nef unique, sans chapelles latérales. L'abside est demi-circulaire et était autrefois ornée d'une bande lombarde dont il ne reste que des vestiges au sud. La partie nord de l'abside a été anciennement restaurée. Un petit clocher carré, lié à la construction primitive, est accolé au sud du choeur. Cette tour a été arasée au niveau du mur de rive. En remplacement, un petit clocher-mur à deux arcades a été établi sur le mur de fond.

History
The church is mentioned twice in the cartulary of Maguelone in 1161 and then several times thereafter. The place was fortified in 1218. The church of the 12th century survives in its entirety but it underwent, at different periods, major repairs. The building is a single nave, without lateral chapels. The apse is semi-circular and was formerly adorned with a Lombard band of which only vestiges remain to the south. The north part of the apse was formerly restored. A small square bell tower, linked to the primitive construction, is attached to the south of the choir. This tower was razed to the level of the edge wall. In replacement, a small porch tower with two arcades was established on the end wall.
