Cette construction était plutôt un rendez-vous de chasse, avec écuries en sous-sol. Au-devant des terrasses s'étendait un parc. Au fond, la perspective se terminait sur une grande pièce d'eau. Au milieu de la terrasse, une porte rectangulaire donne accès à une grotte souterraine aménagée, de plan circulaire, couverte en coupole. Le pourtour intérieur en est garni de niches formant, avec la porte, huit compartiments. Les niches sont sculptées de grandes coquilles et les trumeaux de tableaux que surmontent, au-dessus d'un bandeau continu, des groupes d'enfants nus. Ces panneaux, ainsi que les niches et la coupole, sont décorés de coquilles variées. Au centre de la nymphée se trouve un bassin circulaire. A droite de la porte, en entrant, un percement effectué dans la niche donne accès à un souterrain sans issue, peut-être inachevé. Au-dessus de cette terrasse s'en trouve une autre. L'accès entre les deux terrasses s'effectue par deux volées droites opposées. Le château se compose de deux ailes symétriques, élevées de deux niveaux d'étages, reliées entre elles par un bâtiment moins élevé et en retrait. L'aile gauche a conservé sa corniche de gargouilles baroques.

History
This building was rather a hunting lodge, with stables in the basement. In front of the terraces extended a park. At the far end, the perspective terminated in a large body of water. In the middle of the terrace, a rectangular door gives access to a fitted underground grotto, of circular plan, covered with a dome. The interior perimeter is furnished with niches forming, with the door, eight compartments. The niches are carved with large shells and the piers with panels that are surmounted, above a continuous band, by groups of nude children. These panels, as well as the niches and the dome, are decorated with various shells. At the centre of the nymphaeum is found a circular basin. To the right of the door, on entering, an opening made in the niche gives access to a blind underground passage, perhaps unfinished. Above this terrace is found another. Access between the two terraces is effected by two opposed straight flights. The château consists of two symmetrical wings, raised two storeys high, linked to one another by a less elevated building set back. The left wing has retained its cornice of baroque gargoyles.
