Historique

History
The castle is a construction from the end of the 16th or the beginning of the 17th century. The main body and the two wings have remained in their original state, as have two of the three corner towers. The building presents a U-shaped plan around an inner courtyard. It consists of three building blocks. Originally, the castle was probably flanked by four towers, of which only two remain to the north, on either side of the main façade. On the north façade, the openings on the ground floor and those on the first floor are modern modifications that almost certainly follow the location of older openings. Only one opening, on the first floor, near the north-west tower, gives an idea of the original arrangement. The entrance door is a round arch, framed by two columns that support a richly decorated entablature. Above the entablature, flanked by two volute winglets, a central panel is surmounted by a pediment. The east façade was largely reworked in the 19th century. In the axis of the façade, a projecting section with covered passageway supports a terrace bordered by a row of balusters. The west façade retained, on the first floor, its 17th-century openings (cross-mullioned windows and floor bands). The interior was largely reworked in the 19th century. The 17th century is essentially limited to the stairwell and the former kitchen on the ground floor.
