Historique

History
The hotel was erected around 1707 by the councillor Henri de Bosc, then acquired in 1737 by the lord Viel de Lunas. The States of Languedoc held session in the banqueting gallery between 1707 and 1737. The building consists of a building situated between court and garden, with a wing returning onto the garden. The façades facing the garden offer a fine architectural composition, marked by a decorative focal point formed by the framing of an opening on the first storey with curved pediment, keystone, fillings and sculpted consoles. Inside, two drawing rooms at the centre preserve all the decoration of the 18th century. The former arrangement underwent modifications in the course of the 19th century and the gallery was divided into four rooms. Corresponding to the seven arched windows giving onto the garden were seven false doors with mirrors. In the intervals were lodged twelve lacquer panels, supported at the plinth by panels of the twelve signs of the zodiac. In the 19th century, the lacquer panels were redistributed on the partitions of the two adjacent median drawing rooms. On the ground floor, the furniture dating from the mid-19th century is presented in an interior decoration completed at the same time and in the same spirit. Decoration and furniture were made for each other and are inseparable. Each room represents an epoch (dining room in Renaissance style; music room in Rococo style...). The walls of Madame's bedroom are, like those of the Academy drawing room, on the ground floor, entirely hung with fabrics.
