Ancienne abbaye fondée en 782 par Witiza, entré dans les ordres en 774 sous le nom de Benoît. Centre de la réforme de l'ordre bénédictin avec la reprise en main des lieux par les religieux de la congrégation de Saint-Maur au 17e siècle. A la Révolution, les bâtiments sont vendus comme bien national. L'abbatiale devient église paroissiale. L'édifice se compose d'un vaisseau central flanqué de chapelles latérales. History
Former abbey founded in 782 by Witiza, who entered orders in 774 under the name of Benoît.
