L'hôtel d'origine a été morcelé. Le portail sur la rue, seul élément à peu près intact de la façade, est du type rectangulaire sous linteau appareillé. Il occupe un rectangle dans oeuvre. La première et la troisième volées, perpendiculaires à la cour, comptent chacune neuf marches. La seconde volée est parallèle à la cour. Les limons sont portés par des arcs rampants, appareillés de très grands claveaux de lave noire, sans moulurations. D'autres arcs, en anse de panier, supportent les paliers. Les degrés n'occupent pas toute la longueur de la volée correspondante. Ces décalages se retrouvent aux six volées des deux étages. Cette disposition donne plus d'ampleur aux divers paliers et est assez rare pour être signalée. La rampe est garnie, sur toute la hauteur des deux étages, de balustres carrés rampants, de largeur égale à l'espacement. Même disposition aux grands paliers d'étage, mais avec balustres droits.

The original hôtel was divided up. The portal on the street, the only element of the façade that is more or less intact, is of the rectangular type under an ashlar lintel. Against the left wall is a well whose curb is characteristic of the second half of the 17th century. To the right of the courtyard is a monumental staircase of three flights per storey. It occupies a rectangle within the structure. The first and third flights, perpendicular to the courtyard, each have nine steps. The second flight is parallel to the courtyard. The stringers are carried by rampant arches, assembled with very large voussoirs of black lava stone, without mouldings. Other arches, segmental, support the landings. The steps do not occupy the full length of the corresponding flight. These offsets are found in all six flights of the two storeys. This arrangement gives greater amplitude to the various landings and is rare enough to be noteworthy.
