Historique
Plusieurs immeubles de cet îlot appartenaient au chapitre cathedral d'Agde pour être attribués comme résidences aux principaux bénéficiers. Tel est le cas de cet immeuble. History
Several buildings in this block belonged to the cathedral chapter of Agde to be assigned as residences to the principal beneficiaries. Such is the case with this building. The ancient part is limited to the six metres of façade to the north-west. The staircase tower rises at the eastern angle of the courtyard which has retained its ancient paving. The turret, which projects into the courtyard by a quarter circle, has its other interior walls rectangular. It contains a solid-newel spiral staircase which rises over four storeys above ground level. The entire construction is in black basaltic lava. Similarly, the entrance door of the turret whose frame, despite the difficult nature of this material, has been decorated with complicated sculptures.
