Ce castellas a fait l'objet de nombreux pillages et presque toutes les pierre de grès rose appareillées et utilisées pour les arcs doubleaux ou les ouvertures, ont été arrachées et emportées. Du premier château, il ne resterait que la chapelle (12e siècle). Les fortifications, détruites vers 1250, furent reconstruites au cours des 13e et 14e siècles. Toutes les enceintes sont visibles : château et son enceinte ; enceinte de l'avant-cour ; troisième enceinte sur la colline, reliée au nord du village actuel ; quatrième enceinte longeant l'ancienne église ; dernière enceinte formée par le rempart du village, avec ses tours médiévales.

History
This castellas was subject to numerous plunderings and almost all the stones of pink sandstone cut and used for the doubleaux arches or the openings have been torn out and carried away. Of the first château, there would remain only the chapel (12th century). The fortifications, destroyed around 1250, were rebuilt during the course of the 13th and 14th centuries. All the enclosures are visible: the château and its enclosure; the enclosure of the outer court; third enclosure on the hill, connected to the north of the present-day village; fourth enclosure along the former church; final enclosure formed by the village rampart, with its medieval towers.
