Le palais actuel a été construit au 17e siècle sur l'emplacement de la livrée du cardinal de Montirac, dans laquelle mourut l'évêque Saint-Pierre de Luxembourg en 1387. L'édifice actuel se compose de deux étages sur rez-de-chaussée et d'un attique, avec trois travées de baies. La porte monumentale, de style baroque, avec fronton arrondi, est placée du côté droit de la façade. Toutes les fenêtres appartiennent au type classique de la région aux 17e et 18e siècles : rectangle allongé, moulures peu saillantes, avec un seul décrochement. Une forte corniche sépare le second étage de l'attique. History
The present palace was built in the 17th century on the site of the livery of the cardinal of Montirac, in which the bishop Saint-Pierre de Luxembourg died in 1387. The present building comprises two storeys above the ground floor and an attic, with three bays of openings. The monumental door, in the baroque style, with a rounded pediment, is placed on the right side of the façade. All the windows belong to the classical type of the region in the 17th and 18th centuries: elongated rectangle, slight mouldings, with a single offset. A strong cornice separates the second storey from the attic. Inside, the large hall of the ground floor contains gilded gypseries: pier glass, fireplace, door headers decorated with cartouches, garlands, palm leaves, shells and heads. The ceiling is French style. The stairwell is covered with a ceiling decorated with stucs with thick tori, fruits and shells. In the centre, a painting of 1875 replaced an older canvas.
