Si de nombreux liens fonciers unirent la maison de Conti à la région d'Avignon, le prince de Conti ne posséda jamais aucun immeuble à Villeneuve-lès-Avignon. L'hôtel dit du prince de Conti fut bâti en réalité à la fin du 17e siècle par Antoine Calvet, jurisconsulte du Languedoc. La façade sur rue s'ouvre par un grand portail baroque. Le portail est à fronton cintré et à ressauts latéraux supporté chacun par un atlante. La partie droite de la façade est surmontée d'un attique, lui-même surmonté d'une corniche. La façade sur cour est percée d'un portail sans vantaux, surmonté d'un fronton cintré avec retour. Au-dessous, l'entablement est orné d'un patto dont le mouvement des bras se continue par une frise de rinceaux. Face au grand portail d'entrée de la façade sur cour, une porte est couronnée par un fronton cintré sans ressaut, soutenu par deux consoles à double volute, ornées d'écailles et d'éléments végétaux. Entre les consoles, l'entablement est animé par deux putti dont la partie inférieure se prolonge en rinceaux. De part et d'autre, une lourde guirlande de fruits en haut relief conclut cette ornementation. Les piédroits sont surmontés de cartouches baroques.

Although many property ties united the house of Conti to the region of Avignon, the prince of Conti never owned any building in Villeneuve-lès-Avignon. The hotel called that of the prince of Conti was actually built at the end of the 17th century by Antoine Calvet, jurisconsult of Languedoc. The façade on the street opens through a large Baroque portal. The portal has a curved pediment and lateral projections each supported by an atlante. The right part of the façade is topped by an attic, itself topped by a cornice. The court façade is pierced by a doorway without shutters, topped by a curved pediment with return. Below, the entablature is decorated with a patto whose arm movement is continued by a frieze of scrollwork. Facing the large entrance portal of the court façade, a door is crowned by a curved pediment without projection, supported by two double-volute consoles, decorated with scales and vegetable elements. Between the consoles, the entablature is animated by two putti whose lower part extends into scrollwork. On either side, a heavy garland of fruit in high relief concludes this ornamentation. The door jambs are topped by Baroque cartouches.
