Cette maison paraît avoir appartenu au chapitre cathédral et, à ce titre, aurait peut-être été incluse dans les grandes répartitions faites en 1772, aux immeubles de la Grande-Rue dépendant du Chapitre. Au-dessus d'une devanture de boutique, occupant tout le rez-de-chaussée, chacun des étages est éclairé par deux baies. Au premier étage, ce sont des portes-fenêtres desservies par un grand balcon commun. La partie antérieure, rectiligne, de cette ferronnerie, se compose de trois panneaux séparés par des pilastres, tous limités à la partie supérieure par un encadrement relié à la main-courante par une série de volutes. Le panneau central, un peu plus long que les autres, comporte un médaillon ovale, vide, souligné par une draperie de tôle à trois glands, et entouré par un grand fleuron. Les volutes du remplage sont de types variés. Les deux panneaux latéraux sont composés de la même façon, excepté que le médaillon central y est remplacé par deux volutes croisées en x. History
This house appears to have belonged to the cathedral chapter and, as such, would perhaps have been included in the large redistributions made in 1772, of the properties on the Grande-Rue dependent on the Chapter. Above a shop front, occupying the entire ground floor, each of the floors is lit by two openings. On the first floor, these are French windows served by a large common balcony. The anterior, rectilinear part of this ironwork consists of three panels separated by pilasters, all limited at the upper part by a frame connected to the handrail by a series of volutes. The central panel, slightly longer than the others, comprises an oval, empty medallion, underlined by sheet-metal drapery with three tassels, and surrounded by a large fleuron. The volutes of the infill are of varied types. The two lateral panels are composed in the same way, except that the central medallion is replaced there by two volutes crossed in x. The panels of the returns, curved in quarter circle, distinguish themselves from the others by their double frame, encircling a large fleuron which constitutes the infill.
