According to tradition, it was on the return from the first crusade that the knight Guillaume II de Sabran had built, in thanksgiving, the small chapel with its hermitage. In the 15th century, it is a priory dependent on the abbey of Saint-Justin de Sézade, in the diocese of Aix. In 1459, the priory is united with that of Carsan. Too small, the primitive chapel was enlarged between 1854 and 1860. After the apparitions of Lourdes and La Salette, two lateral chapels were added. The most interesting part of the building is the primitive chapel from the beginning of the 12th century, with a nave vaulted in barrel vault with round arch, a slightly pointed triumphal arch supported by pyramidal moulded corbels with a chip motif at the base. Apse in half dome which ends with six stones cut as voussoirs with alternation of light and dark colouring.
