Historique
Le couvent des Dominicains a été fondé, pour certains en 1220, pour d'autres en 1231. Le chapitre provincial s'y réunit plusieurs fois entre 1243 et 1296. A la fin du 14e siècle, les Dominicains furent autorisés à s'installer dans le bourg. Leur église fut probablement bâtie au cours du 15e siècle. En 1793, le couvent fut vendu en deux lots dont le plus important comprenait la nef, les chapelles de droite et de gauche, le sanctuaire et deux sacristies. La nef unique n'a qu'une travée voûtée, près du choeur. Les arcs doubleaux, brisés, profilés de moulures prismatiques, reposent sur des colonnes engagées tandis que les ogives partent de simples culs de lampe. La seconde chapelle a été dotée d'une voûte à liernes et tiercerons. Un escalier qui s'élève le long du mur méridional de la nef et qui longe les anciennes chapelles murées, mène à l'étage créé au 19e siècle dans le sanctuaire. Dans le chevet polygonal, à sept pans, les ogives à moulures prismatiques aboutissent à une clef centrale ornée d'un écu armorié. L'armature de la voûte est complétée par une lierne et deux tiercerons qui se croisent sur une petite clef ronde. Chapiteaux sculptés. Culs de lampe de style flamboyant.

History
The convent of the Dominicans was founded, for some in 1220, for others in 1231. The provincial chapter met there several times between 1243 and 1296. At the end of the 14th century, the Dominicans were authorised to settle in the town. Their church was probably built in the course of the 15th century. In 1793, the convent was sold in two lots of which the largest comprised the nave, the right and left chapels, the sanctuary and two sacristies. The single nave has only one vaulted bay near the choir. The double arches, pointed, profiled with prismatic mouldings, rest on engaged columns whilst the ogives spring from simple corbels. The second chapel was fitted with a vault of liernes and tiercerons. A staircase which rises along the southern wall of the nave and which runs along the formerly sealed chapels, leads to the storey created in the 19th century in the sanctuary. In the polygonal chevet, with seven sides, the ogives with prismatic mouldings end at a central keystone decorated with an armorial escutcheon. The arming of the vault is completed by a lierne and two tiercerons which intersect over a small round keystone. Sculpted capitals. Corbels in Flamboyant style.
