L'église figure dans un acte de 1304 parmi les églises paroissiales du diocèse de Carcassonne. L'édifice est à nef unique, non voûtée, à quatre travées séparées par des piliers dont la saillie décroît nettement depuis le fond jusqu'au choeur. Ce dernier, non voûté, se termine par une abside demi-circulaire. A l'extérieur, l'abside a reçu une ornementation lombarde. Chaque panneau comprend quatre arcatures constituées par de petits claveaux distincts. Les consoles intermédiaires sont sculptées de têtes de boeuf. Les trois fenêtres absidiales ont été modifiées mais les anciens encadrements se distinguent très nettement. Ils étaient en plein cintre et constitués par deux rouleaux de petits claveaux plats, disposés suivant la méthode "lombarde".

History
The church appears in a deed of 1304 among the parish churches of the diocese of Carcassonne. The building has a single nave, not vaulted, with four bays separated by pillars whose projection decreases markedly from the back to the choir. The latter, not vaulted, terminates in a semi-circular apse. Externally, the apse has received Lombard ornamentation. Each panel comprises four arcatures constituted by distinct small voussoirs. The intermediate corbels are sculpted with ox heads. The three abside windows have been modified but the old frames stand out very clearly. They were round-arch and constituted by two rolls of small flat voussoirs, arranged according to the "Lombard" method.
