Historique

History
The church is mentioned as a parish church from 1269. The three first bays of the nave appear to date from that period. The bell tower must be earlier than the end of the 15th century. Three of the lateral chapels appear to date from the 16th century. The church underwent some restoration during the 19th century, notably the construction of a vault over the nave and sanctuary, which were previously covered with roof structure on stone doubleaux arcs. The Notre-Dame chapel, the first on the north, was transformed and enlarged in 1887. The nave is composed of six bays, the most eastern having become the sanctuary after the placing of a retable in front of the old sanctuary with flat chevet. The first bays still belong to the Romanesque period. The two doubleaux arcs of the three following bays do not appear to be earlier than the end of the 14th century, probably contemporary with the bell tower attached to the south. It is possible that the reconstruction of these arcs to the west did not correspond to an enlargement of the building but rather to major repairs, perhaps made necessary by the construction of the bell tower. This is a square tower projecting from the south wall, without a chapel at the base. The tower comprises three storeys, the two upper ones pierced with two openings per face. Carved corbels (human head, animals, tetramorph...).
