Historique
La construction du château, hormis quelques parties conservées anciennes, semble remonter à la fin du 16e ou au début du 17e siècle. Les bâtiments entourent, de trois côtés, une petite cour intérieure dont le dernier côté est fermé par un mur. Le périmètre extérieur dessine un rectangle dont les deux angles sud sont flanqués par des tours circulaires. L'angle nord-ouest présente une tour carrée, coupée obliquement. Tout autour s'étendaient des douves dont l'existence est attestée par des vestiges de pont-levis. L'entrée est défendue par une puissante bretèche portée par quatre fortes consoles, reliées par de petits arcs en plein cintre. La paroi antérieure de la bretèche présente deux petits regards carrés et un ovale, qui pouvait servir aux tirs de mousquèterie. En arrière du mur et à hauteur de la bretèche, courait un chemin de ronde, dallé sur encorbellement et démoli. Ce passage se marque encore par quatre petites canonnières. L'angle nord-est de la cour est occupé par une tour octogonale contenant l'escalier en vis. La porte à fronton triangulaire est encadrée par des pilastres cannelés, la frise ornée de huit triglyphes.

History
The construction of the castle, apart from some preserved old parts, seems to date from the end of the 16th or beginning of the 17th century. The buildings surround, on three sides, a small interior courtyard whose last side is closed by a wall. The outer perimeter forms a rectangle whose two southern angles are flanked by circular towers. The north-west angle presents a square tower, cut obliquely. All around extended moats whose existence is attested by remains of drawbridges. The entrance is defended by a powerful brattice carried on four strong corbels, linked by small round arches. The front face of the brattice presents two small square openings and an oval one, which could serve for musket fire. Behind the wall and at the height of the brattice, ran a wall-walk, paved on corbels and demolished. This passage is still marked by four small gun loops. The north-east angle of the courtyard is occupied by an octagonal tower containing the spiral staircase. The door with triangular pediment is framed by fluted pilasters, the frieze decorated with eight triglyphs.
