Le château se compose d'un mur d'enceinte qui entoure un espace carré au centre duquel s'élève un donjon de même forme. La porte d'entrée de l'enceinte est défendue par un mâchicoulis et décorée d'armes. Les angles de l'enceinte sont occupés par divers bâtiments. A gauche, un logis, à droite une chapelle et une salle à cheminée. Au fond, l'étage inférieur d'un autre bâtiment. Le quatrième angle est démoli. Elevé sur plan carré et flanqué de tourelles rondes aux angles portant sur des contreforts établis dans la hauteur du rez-de-chaussée, le donjon comprend quatre étages formant quatre salles superposées. Rez-de-chaussée et premier étage sont voûtés d'arêtes. Une large lunette ménagée dans la voûte du rez-de-chaussée met celui-ci en communication avec la salle du premier. History
The castle consists of a perimeter wall surrounding a square space at the centre of which rises a keep of the same shape. The entrance gate of the perimeter is defended by machicolations and decorated with arms. The angles of the perimeter are occupied by various buildings. On the left, a main dwelling, on the right a chapel and a hall with a fireplace. At the back, the lower storey of another building. The fourth angle is demolished. Erected on a square plan and flanked by round turrets at the angles resting on buttresses established at the height of the ground floor, the keep comprises four storeys forming four superimposed rooms. Ground floor and first floor are vaulted with groin vaults. A large lunette created in the vault of the ground floor puts it in communication with the room of the first floor. Each face of the latter is pierced with arrow slits and small windows. The second floor is occupied by a fireplace with sculpted capitals. The upper floor, reduced in thickness, presents only a sequence of arrow slits and crenellations covered by lintels and arches. The whole is covered by a cornice independent of those of the turrets.
