History
The building, with a high gable facing the street, is served by two spiral staircase towers, one facing the street, the other facing the courtyard. Each is pierced by a door which is set between Ionic pilasters crowned with an entablature and cartouches, decorated with sculptures with vegetable motifs and chequer patterns. This former granary was perhaps a constituent part of the hôtel Gauthiot d'Ancier, of which a few buildings remain in the same street. The typology of the openings allows a dating of the late 15th or early 16th century, with transformations at the late 16th or early 17th century. The overall volumetry is preserved, with the high roof with long slopes, on a roof structure whose frames have five levels of tie-beams.
