Historique
La tuilerie est établie peu avant 1845, date à laquelle son propriétaire léquipe dune machine à vapeur permettant de produire des « tuiles perfectionnées ». Si la production de tuiles cesse vers 1934, létablissement poursuit une activité de scierie jusquen 1965 (un châssis de scie est installé vers 1900). Outre le logement, le site comprend un hangar de stockage du bois, un vaste bâtiment abritant latelier de façonnage et le hangar de séchage, auquel est adossé le bâtiment de la machine à vapeur et sa cheminée en moellons calcaires, et les fours. Cette modeste tuilerie établie en milieu rural est parfaitement conservée (plusieurs campagnes de restauration entre 1979 et 1988).

History
The tile works was established shortly before 1845, the date at which its owner equipped it with a steam engine allowing the production of "improved tiles". While tile production ceased around 1934, the establishment continued as a sawmill until 1965 (a saw frame was installed around 1900). Besides the dwelling, the site comprises a wood storage hangar, a vast building housing the shaping workshop and the drying shed, to which is attached the steam engine building and its chimney of limestone rubble stone, and the kilns. This modest tile works established in a rural setting is perfectly preserved (several restoration campaigns between 1979 and 1988).
