History
Traces of the 12th-century building remain in the structure of the south wall. Reused sculptured stones dating from the first period of construction are visible in the porch wall. Behind the porch tower dating from the late 14th century, the springing of the arch of the original portal can be distinguished. Also witnessing the 12th century, two groups of statues placed above the entrance portal, representing the scenes of the Annunciation and the Visitation. Towards the end of the 14th century, this church was remodelled. Dating from this period are the porch tower, the piers and springing of the vaults of the nave as well as the addition of an aisle to the original building. The vault is today replaced by a wooden ceiling. The building presents a rectangular plan, terminated by a three-sided chevet, flanked between fan-shaped buttresses. In front, the square and massive porch tower is increased by a tower on the north side. The church was enlarged by an aisle to the left of the nave, which is set within a reinforcement of the north facade. The entrance portal, of Gothic style, is surrounded by an arch of pointed arch form. Inside, the porch tower is fitted out as a gallery.
