This abbey was established under King Henri II who dedicated it in 1181. From 1437 to 1449, the pillaging of the Hundred Years' War left only the ground floor of the wings. The south wing was rebuilt in 1740. In 1848, the abbey was transformed into a residential complex. The facades of the wings were then raised by attic walls concealing gutters. These walls are heightened with wooden dormers imitating stone dormers. This state was demolished by the dairy and replaced by hanging gutters.
