Ce pont aurait été construit par les moines de l'abbaye pour permettre l'exploitation des propriétés situées sur la rive gauche de la rivière. Une voie romaine passait également à cet endroit. History
This bridge is said to have been built by the monks of the abbey to allow the exploitation of properties situated on the left bank of the river. A Roman road also passed at this location. The current bridge no doubt replaced a Roman bridge. The structure comprises three main arches and a small secondary arch set in the right bank abutment. The large arcades are supported on intermediate piers planted in the riverbed. The cutwater of each pier is pointed arch and the tail triangular. The piers project to the level of the roadway, thus providing refuges for pedestrians. The general profile is slightly arched with unequal slopes.
