History
Archetype of rural Limousin churches. There originally existed a Romanesque church of which the present building retains some vestiges (buttresses, cornices, modillons carved with heads). West portal of the 13th century, typically Limousin. Modifications to the church in the 15th century and to the porch in 1717. Edification of the bell tower and spire in the 19th century on a base of the 18th century. Wall paintings of 1470-1480, distributed throughout the church. This decoration, rare in Limousin, comprises figurative scenes of the life of Christ and the Virgin.
