La cure dépendait de Nontron. L'église du 11e siècle se compose d'une nef couverte par un plafond récent en carène renversée, d'un transept à la croisée duquel un clocher carré repose sur quatre gros piliers d'ange. Entre 1492 et 1497, Jean de Lastours, recteur de Nexon, Bussière et Lageyrat rebâtit l'église dans sa partie orientale. Près de l'autel, une piscine surmontée de l'accolade du 15e siècle est percée dans le mur du chevet. La porte en plein cintre est celle d'une église rurale de haute époque.

History
The rectory depended on Nontron. The 11th century church comprises a nave covered by a recent ceiling in inverted keel form, a transept at the crossing of which a square bell tower rests on four large corner pillars. Between 1492 and 1497, Jean de Lastours, rector of Nexon, Bussière and Lageyrat rebuilt the church in its eastern part. Near the altar, a piscina surmounted by the ogee arch of the 15th century is pierced in the chevet wall. The round arch door is that of a rural church of early date.
