Historique
Avant la Révolution, la paroisse faisait partie du diocèse de Bourges. Le patronage appartenait à l'abbaye de Déols. Une première église fut édifiée entre 1097 et 1104, remplacée par l'église actuelle au 13e siècle. La construction semble avoir commencé par la façade occidentale, vers 1275-1282. Cette façade s'ouvre par un portail en arc brisé, au tympan évidé entre voussures à boudins et ressauts reposant sur chapiteaux à crochets formant frise surmontant les colonnettes. Un porche en matériaux légers abritait ce portail. L'édifice est formé d'un vaisseau à chevet droit que flanquent des chapelles latérales, et au côté sud duquel est adossé un clocher carré. Le clocher, dont la base paraît ancienne, présente un étage du 16e ou 17e siècle. La chapelle nord du choeur présente des culots figurant des personnages à mi-corps dont la tête est encadrée par les mains qui soutiennent le poids de la voûte. Une porte, dissimulée dans des boiseries, accède à la cour du château.

History
Before the Revolution, the parish was part of the diocese of Bourges. The patronage belonged to Déols Abbey. A first church was built between 1097 and 1104, replaced by the present church in the 13th century. Construction appears to have begun with the western façade, around 1275-1282. This façade opens by a pointed arch portal, with the tympanum hollowed between roll-moulded arches and setbacks resting on capitals with crockets forming a frieze surmounting the columns. A porch in light materials sheltered this portal. The building is formed of a vessel with a flat chevet flanked by lateral chapels, and on whose south side is set against a square bell tower. The bell tower, whose base appears ancient, presents a level of the 16th or 17th century. The north chapel of the choir presents corbels representing figures in half-length whose head is framed by hands which support the weight of the vault. A door, concealed in woodwork, provides access to the castle courtyard.
