Historique
Eglise appartenant à une famille de sanctuaires typiques du plateau de Millevaches : abside à pans coupés, clocher-mur sur porche, petit clocheton sur le toit. Un prieuré fut fondé à Ventadour par les vicomtes de Comborn-Ventadour peu avant 1116. Il se trouvait dans le château, mais fut agrandi hors du celui-ci. Il dépendait de l'ordre de Cluny qui nommait les titulaires. L'église fut rebatie en 1494. L'édifice actuel résulte de la reconstruction d'une église du 12e dont subsistent, à l'extérieur, la corniche du chevet et, à l'intérieur, les colonnes de l'arc triomphal avec leurs chapiteaux, ainsi que deux baies sur la façade sud. La façade occidentale a été restaurée en 1786.

History
Church belonging to a family of sanctuaries typical of the Millevaches plateau: apse with cut angles, porch tower, small bell turret on the roof. A priory was founded at Ventadour by the viscounts of Comborn-Ventadour shortly before 1116. It was located in the castle, but was enlarged outside of it. It was under the authority of the Cluniac order which appointed the titulars. The church was rebuilt in 1494. The current building results from the reconstruction of a 12th-century church of which remain, on the exterior, the cornice of the chevet and, on the interior, the columns of the triumphal arch with their capitals, as well as two openings on the south façade. The western façade was restored in 1786.
