La façade sud sud-ouest à laquelle est accolée une tour carrée, se trouvait dans l'alignement du rempart. La construction participait donc à la défense du bourg fortifié, voire faisait partie du château proprement dit. Louis Charles Lévi, duc de Ventadour, en fit donation à la confrérie des Pénitents qui y établirent leur chapelle après y avoir apporté remaniements et adjonctions. L'édifice est formé d'une nef rectangulaire accostée de collatéraux et ouvrant sur une pièce voûtée d'arêtes, au rez-de-chaussée de la tour en saillie de ce côté.

History
The south south-west facade to which is attached a square tower was aligned with the rampart. The construction thus participated in the defence of the fortified town, or even formed part of the castle proper. Louis Charles Lévi, Duke of Ventadour, made a donation of it to the confraternity of Penitents, who established their chapel there after making alterations and additions. The building consists of a rectangular nave adjoined by aisles and opening onto a space with a groin vault on the ground floor of the tower projecting on this side.
