Il y avait, au 9e siècle, une églsie Saint-Martial près de la Corrèze. Celle-ci relevait du chevalier Aymar de Tulle puis d'Archambaud de Comborn et d'Eble de Ventadour. Au 12e siècle, elle passait sous l'autorité de l'évêché de Limoges puis, en 1318, sous celle de l'évêque de Tulle. De plan rectangulaire, cette église se compose de cinq travées. La lourdeur des arcs doubleaux, un pan de mur couronné de modillons semblent indiquer qu'a été utilisée, en partie, une infrastructure romane sur laquelle ont été disposées des croisées d'ogives dont la nervure à prisme semble remonter au 13e siècle. Les fenêtres ont un gabarit roman. Chevet plat. Le clocher a été décapité en 1721 par la foudre, la flèche a alors été remplacée par un lanternon. La porte occidentale s'encadre d'un décor baroque.

History
In the 9th century, there was a church of Saint-Martial near the Corrèze. This was under the authority of the knight Aymar of Tulle then of Archambaud of Comborn and Eble of Ventadour. In the 12th century, it passed under the authority of the bishopric of Limoges then, in 1318, under that of the bishop of Tulle. Of rectangular plan, this church is composed of five bays. The heaviness of the arches, a wall panel crowned with modillions seem to indicate that a Romanesque infrastructure was used in part, on which were placed rib vaults whose ribs with prism moulding seem to date back to the 13th century. The windows have a Romanesque size. Flat chevet. The bell tower was struck by lightning and decapitated in 1721, the spire was then replaced by a lantern. The western door is framed by Baroque decoration.
