Probably built in the 11th century on the site of a pre-Romanesque sanctuary of the 8th century, the church was enlarged and transformed in the 18th century. The building, originally of Pisan Romanesque style, underwent major transformations of baroque style at the time of its enlargement. Almost all the primitive main façade still exists, in grey slate slabs. At the centre opens a door flanked by monolithic jambs. A lintel decorated with motifs carved in flat relief is surmounted by a monolithic tympanum framed by a round arch. The second level, of baroque style like the rest of the church, is separated from the pediment and the first level by cornices. At the top of the pediment stands a human figure engraved in a lozenge. The south façade supports the bell tower. The door comes from the first construction and was reassembled by arranging the primitive elements. The interior presents a nave with eight lateral chapels and decorated in baroque style.
