Maison carrée construite au début du 17e siècle (1600-1630) pour servir de résidence au lieutenant représentant à Corte le gouvernement de Gênes. De 1755 à 1769, Pascal Paoli y établit le siège du Parlement de la Corse indépendante. Elle servit de prison au 19e siècle et de musée au 20e.

History
Square house built in the early 17th century (1600-1630) to serve as a residence for the lieutenant representing the Genoese government at Corte. From 1755 to 1769, Pascal Paoli established the seat of the Parliament of independent Corsica there. It served as a prison in the 19th century and as a museum in the 20th.
