Eglise construite en 1459 par Monseigneur Ambroise Arrighi d'Omessa, évêque d'Aleria. En 1655, les chapelles du côté ouest sont abattues et remplacées par une nef latérale, enclavant le vieux clocher dans la nouvelle construction. Sous le généralat de Pascal Paoli, l'édifice devint l'église paroissiale de Corte, alors capitale de l'île.

History
Church built in 1459 by Monseigneur Ambroise Arrighi d'Omessa, bishop of Aleria. In 1655, the chapels on the west side were demolished and replaced by a side nave, encasing the old bell tower in the new construction. Under the generalate of Pascal Paoli, the building became the parish church of Corte, then capital of the island.
