Edifié en 1622 à la demande de l'évêque d'Ajaccio, Fabio Giustiniani, ce bâtiment fut acheté en 1797 par Joseph Bonaparte, puis devint la propriété du cardinal Fesch, oncle de Napoléon. Loué à l'évêché d'Ajaccio au lendemain du Concordat, il demeura résidence de l'évêque jusqu'en 1900, puis à nouveau siège de l'évêché de 1906 aux années 1960. C'est un édifice dont les façades sont percées de fenêtres oblongues. La porte est surmontée d'un linteau de pierre portant la date de l'édification de la demeure et d'un blason sculpté, aux armes de l'évêque Giustiniani.

History
Built in 1622 at the request of the bishop of Ajaccio, Fabio Giustiniani, this building was purchased in 1797 by Joseph Bonaparte, then became the property of Cardinal Fesch, uncle of Napoleon. Leased to the bishopric of Ajaccio following the Concordat, it remained the bishop's residence until 1900, then once again the seat of the bishopric from 1906 to the 1960s. It is a building whose façades are pierced by oblong windows. The door is surmounted by a stone lintel bearing the date of the construction of the residence and a sculpted coat of arms, with the arms of Bishop Giustiniani.
