Historique
L'hôtel, bâti au début du 17e siècle, s'inscrit dans une sorte de plan d'ensemble d'aménagement de l'espace, situé entre l'Etape et le Martroy, afin d'y fixer un habitat résidentiel. Toutes les caractéristiques de l'architecture du début du 17e siècle se retrouvent dans l'hôtel Pommeret (façades en briques avec chaînage et bandeaux de pierre ; hauts toits d'ardoise). Dès le 18e siècle, des remaniements sont intervenus qui ont affecté en particulier les percements. Les dispositions intérieures ont également été modifiées aux 18e et 19e siècles. Une chambre du premier étage de l'aile ouest, a conservé le seul décor complet du 18e. Le grand salon du rez-de-chaussée est typique des décors intérieurs en vogue sous la Restauration (lambris).

History
The hotel, built in the early 17th century, is part of a sort of overall plan for the arrangement of space, situated between the Etape and the Martroy, in order to establish residential housing there. All the characteristics of early 17th-century architecture are found in the Hôtel Pommeret (brick façades with stone chainwork and bands; high slate roofs). From the 18th century onwards, alterations occurred which particularly affected the openings. The interior arrangements were also modified in the 18th and 19th centuries. A room on the first storey of the west wing has retained the only complete 18th-century decoration. The great drawing room on the ground floor is typical of the interior decoration in vogue under the Restoration (wainscoting).
