History

Romanesque nave terminated by a choir with lateral passages of the Berry type. The central vessel has a rib vault falling on leafed baskets borne by figured corbels evoking the beginning of the 13th century. In the middle of the 16th century, an enlargement project planned to enclose the flat chevet within a series of bays, doubtless for use as chapels. The project was interrupted in 1567, at the passage of Protestant troops. In the middle of the 19th century, a campaign of works saw the creation of false plaster ribs falling on false figured corbels in the side aisles of the choir; the ground floor of the bell tower was covered with a false vault; a gallery was installed above the western entrance.
